Software export regulations that we should be following

There are multiple regulations on different classes of software, including encryption, security and others, and the way it is applied (military use, dual use, civilian use). There are also different classes of countries ranging from NATO and other allies through non-signatories of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty all the way to what’s considered rogue regimes.

In addition to concerns with export regulations on the US side, there are a number of other issues you need to be concerned with in the target countries, not the least of which is making sure that payments due you actually reach you. Getting paid can become an expensive proposition with soft deliverables, especially if your application does not require a great deal of setup and maintenance that you can use as leverage.
